Explanation: Budd:e Cybersecurity is an online module that contains engaging and age appropriate activities for students to understand the importance of cyber safety and the ways in which we appropriately use the internet to avoid risks. The program comes in two modules one for primary school and an extended version for senior school. The program is designed by the Australian Government and has ample teaching resources to assist teachers using the program.

The primary module consists of nine different activities which need to be completed with a 100% score. Once this grade is achieved students are allowed to select a particular body part. Each activity builds up to create a student’s own Budd:e cyber robot.

 

A Classroom Activity using this Resource:  Once students have completed the program and created their own Budd:e students could then create their own cyber safety leaflet/booklet to highlight the key issues discussed during the nine activities. Students could then post these online on a class blog or school portal system/website that parents and students have access too. Each students Budd:e will be different due to the many options available at each level unlocked allowed each student to have their own cyber safety mascot.

How to use this Resource: This resource can be highly adaptable, it can be used individually or as a whole class activity. Teachers are supplied with lesson plans for each stage/activity.
